Job description

Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy Forum.

We work hard, and we work fast - while keeping up the quality and accuracy we're known for. It's what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time. "Our culture is wide open, just like our spaces." We bring out the best in each other. And through our countless volunteer projects, we help bring out the best in the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.

At Bloomberg Media, we are committed to providing extraordinary support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight, and thought leadership.

We’re seeking a Yield Analyst to join Bloomberg’s Global Yield Team. You will work across all of our media assets, including Digital, TV, Social, Audio, and Print. You’ll be responsible for optimising how we monetise our advertising inventory through data-driven pricing, inventory, product, and packaging strategies, while effectively translating insights and adapting recommendations to sales, operational, and marketplace needs.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Serve as a primary Yield partner to Sales, Planning, and Ad Operations, evaluating and approving pricing and inventory across multiple channels and buying methodologies, including Digital, Linear, Social, Audio, Print, and Programmatic.
  • Be fluent in inventory, pricing, revenue, and marketplace data to identify trends and optimise pricing and inventory strategies by region, sales vertical, platform, and seasonality, balancing sell-through, yield, advertiser needs, and overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate, create, and evolve product offerings and packaging strategies across platforms, using inventory availability, demand, performance, and marketplace feedback to improve sell-through and unlock incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain dynamic forecasting and scenario models to project revenue, sell-through, inventory availability, and yield outcomes based on changing supply, demand, seasonality, and market conditions.
  • Design and evolve scalable pricing frameworks, rate cards, and performance methodologies across multiple mediums, ensuring consistency while adapting to inventory trends, marketplace conditions, and commercial needs.
  • Collaborate with partners across Sales, Planning, Ad Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Data to evaluate pricing, inventory, and product strategies that support near-term objectives and long-term growth.
  • Analyse complex datasets and present clear findings, recommendations, and strategic points of view across the commercial organisation, translating analytical concepts into actionable business narratives for different audiences.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI, statistical modelling, scripting, and automation to improve forecasting, pricing and inventory optimisation, reporting, scenario modelling, and overall team efficiency.

You’ll need to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in digital advertising, media, yield management, sales planning, revenue management, or a related field, with exposure to formats such as Display/Video, OTT/CTV, Linear TV, Print, Social, or Audio/Podcasting.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications and fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Professional experience in advertising, media, or finance, ideally within a global organisation.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tools such as Power Pivot and Power Query.
  • Experience extracting, manipulating, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends and support business decisions, with working knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data, models, and marketplace dynamics into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of data.

We’d love to see:

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Exposure to AI tools, machine learning, statistical modelling, scripting, or automation, with an interest in applying them to build scalable tools, improve analytical processes, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Experience thinking strategically about product design, packaging, inventory allocation, and monetisation, particularly across multiple platforms, markets, or audience segments.
  • A track record of improving revenue efficiency, sell-through, inventory utilisation, or pricing accuracy through analytical initiatives.
  • Comfort developing and presenting data-backed recommendations, including challenging existing approaches when marketplace or performance data supports a different strategy.
  • Interest in mentoring others and developing documentation, tools, or frameworks that make pricing, inventory, and Yield concepts more accessible across the organisation.
