Euro Top Tech GmbH ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
What We Collect
Information You Provide
- Email address: When you subscribe or create an account.
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe (we don't store card details).
- CV/Resume content: You can upload your CV to use the job matching and AI Lab features. If you choose to save it to your account, we store it until you remove it; if you use it once without saving, it stays in your browser (see CV Content below).
- Salary submissions: If you contribute salary data, we collect the details you submit (role, compensation, location, etc.). Published salary data is always anonymized and aggregated, never shown in a way that identifies you.
- Coaching applications: If you apply to the coaching program, we collect what you submit (name, email, current role, location, and your goals) so we can review your application and reply.
- AI coach conversations: If you chat with the AI coach in the Career Lab, your messages and the coach's answers are saved to your account (see AI Coach Conversations below).
- Community content: Posts and messages you share in our Discord community.
- Reviews: If you leave a review at /review, we collect what you submit (rating, text, name, optional role, optional video and optional contact email) and publish it on our pages only after you tick the consent box and we approve it. The contact email is never published. You can ask us to edit or delete your review at any time.
Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics data: Page views and basic journey events, collected with our own first-party system (no Google Analytics, no ad pixels). With your consent, a visitor/session cookie links your visits together so we can see which pages and sources lead to subscriptions; without it, events carry temporary identifiers and nothing is stored on your device. We never store your raw IP address; location is derived only at country and city level.
- Referral data: How you found us (e.g., from a search engine or social media link).
- UTM parameters: Campaign tracking data from URLs you clicked.
How We Use Your Data
- Account management: To provide access to subscribed features and manage your subscription.
- Email communication: To send account-related emails and, if subscribed, newsletter content via Beehiiv.
- Community access: To grant Discord community access to eligible subscribers.
- Improving our service: To understand how users interact with our platform and make improvements.
Legal Bases
We process data to perform our contract with you (account, subscription, AI Lab), based on our legitimate interest (first-party analytics, service improvement, fraud prevention), or with your consent (newsletter, analytics cookies), which you can withdraw anytime.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Stripe: Secure payment processing. Privacy Policy

- Vercel: Hosting, analytics and storage of review media (videos and photos submitted with testimonials). Privacy Policy
- Neon: Database hosting for accounts, subscriptions, salary submissions, and coaching applications. Privacy Policy
- Resend: Sends our account and product emails (login links, job alerts, confirmations). Privacy Policy
- Discord: Community platform (you sign up directly with Discord). Privacy Policy
- OpenAI: Powers AI Lab features. Privacy Policy
Some of these providers are located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by recognized safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
AI-Powered Features
Our AI Lab provides CV review and skills analysis, powered by OpenAI. When you use these features:
- Your CV is analyzed to generate personalized career insights.
- Your CV is transmitted to OpenAI for analysis. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train their models and is retained only temporarily for abuse monitoring before deletion.
- Results are saved locally in your browser for your convenience.
CV Content
You decide whether we store your CV. When you save it to your account, we store the text on our servers, linked to your account email, so the tools work on any device without asking you for it again. Saving is how you consent to that storage, and we record when you saved it. If you pick "Use once without saving" instead, the text stays in your browser and never reaches our servers.
- A saved CV is used by the features that need it: CV matching and best-match sorting on the job boards, the CV reviewer, the skills analysis and the other AI Lab analyses you run, and the AI coach when your question is about your CV.
- When you run one of those analyses, the CV text is sent to OpenAI for that request, under the API terms above (not used to train their models, retained by them only temporarily).
- We also store a numerical representation of your CV (an embedding) so job matching can rank jobs against it. It is derived from your CV and is deleted with it.
- Removing your CV deletes the stored text and that embedding immediately and permanently. The Remove button sits wherever your CV appears, including the CV dialog on the job boards.
- Deleting your account deletes your saved CV too.
- We never publish your CV, never share it with employers, and never show it to coaches. A shared job-search dashboard shows the analysis, never the CV itself.
Career Lab & Cloud Backup
The Career Lab (target roles, application tracker, prep logs, Path progress) works local-first: your workspace lives in your browser. If you turn on cloud backup, a copy of that workspace state is stored on our servers, linked to your account email, so you can restore it on another device. Your CV text and AI review results are never part of the backup; a CV you saved to your account is stored separately (see CV Content).
Members with cloud backup enabled receive a weekly progress email; every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. You can turn the backup off at any time in the Career Lab, and you can ask us to delete the stored copy (see Your Rights below).
AI Coach Conversations
The "Ask the coach" feature in the Career Lab is an AI chat. Conversations are saved to your account (messages, answers, and the AI model and token counts used) so your history follows you across devices. Your questions and conversation context are sent to OpenAI to generate each answer, under the same API terms as the other AI Lab features: not used to train their models, retained by them only temporarily.
- If you have saved a CV to your account, the coach includes it when your question is about your CV, so you do not have to paste it again. It is sent with that one request and is never stored in the conversation: only a marker saying a CV was included is kept. Attaching CV text to a message uses that text instead, for that message only. Remove your CV and the coach stops receiving it. Note that when the coach rewrites a line for you, its answer can quote that line back, and answers are saved like the rest of the conversation.
- If you have Career Lab cloud backup turned on, the coach also reads that workspace state (your targets, applications, plan; never your CV text) to personalize answers. Backup off means the coach sees only the chat.
- We (the people running Euro Top Tech) may read some conversations to improve the coach's answers. This is disclosed in the coach itself.
- Conversations are never used to train AI models, never published, and never turned into product content.
- Usage analytics about the coach records topic tags and counts only, never what you wrote.
- You can delete any conversation, or all of them, in the Career Lab at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and deleting your account removes them too.
Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
- We don't sell your personal data to anyone.
- Access to your data is limited to essential personnel and services.
Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed: account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure; newsletter email until you unsubscribe; payment records as long as tax and accounting law requires. A CV you saved to your account is kept until you remove it or delete your account (see CV Content).
Your Rights
Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: Update or correct your information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data.
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- Objection & withdrawal: Object to processing based on legitimate interest, or withdraw consent at any time.
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority, or with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
