Job Description

Description AWS Cloud Logistics is hiring a Logistics Fulfilment Manager to own the operational performance of our Data Centre Fulfilment Centres (DCFCs) and Forward Stocking Locations (FSLs) across EMEA. This is a critical IC role responsible for the end-to-end logistics execution that enables AWS data centre infrastructure deployment in the region.

The DCFC programme is currently in build-out status, meaning this role will combine operational excellence in existing sites with greenfield programme delivery for new facilities. The successful candidate will manage Warehouse Service Provider (WSP) performance, drive warehouse and transport operations, and partner across Supply Chain, Procurement, Security, and Data Centre Operations to scale capacity ahead of AWS growth in EMEA.

A key pillar of this role is owning the generation, updating, and management of Service Requirement (SR) documentation — ensuring operational specifications are defined, maintained, and aligned with evolving programme needs. The role works closely with the Procurement team on new site enablement and establishing operational throughput requirements, but does not carry commercial negotiation responsibilities.

The role will liaise with the ACL Transport team and local DC Logistics teams to define, design, and manage local transport operations supporting DCFC/FSL sites.

This role reports directly to the ACL EMEA leader and requires up to 40% travel to visit DCFC/FSL sites, vendor locations, and prospective new sites. While primarily focused on EMEA, travel may extend globally to support cross-regional initiatives and best-practice sharing.

Key job responsibilities

Own the end-to-end operational performance of DCFCs and FSLs across EMEA, including service levels, cost per unit, inventory accuracy, quality defects, safety, and on-time delivery

Own Service Requirement (SR) documentation — generation, updating, and ongoing management to ensure operational specifications remain current and aligned with programme needs

Liaise with the ACL Transport team and local DC Logistics teams to define, design, and manage local transport operations supporting DCFC/FSL sites

Manage the WSP portfolio for EMEA DCFC/FSL operations — QBRs, performance scorecards, escalation handling, and strategic partnership development

Drive standardisation across sites and countries; eliminate root causes of recurring defects and scale playbooks across the network

Lead vendor management activities including performance management for Warehouse Service Providers (WSPs) and third-party logistics providers (3PLs)

Work closely with the Procurement team on new site enablement, establishing operational throughput requirements, and supporting RFX events with technical and operational input

Own warehouse operations oversight across DCFCs and FSLs — receiving, storage, kitting, staging, and dispatch of data centre hardware

Support DCFC site selection for new facilities — evaluate locations against operational, security, and logistics criteria

Drive compliance with physical security standards across all DCFC/FSL sites, working with Security teams to meet hyperscaler requirements

Deliver continuous improvement through process standardisation, Lean methodologies, and data-driven decision making

Represent DCFC/FSL operations to senior AWS Infrastructure Services leaders and cross-functional partners

Travel up to 40% to visit sites, vendors, and prospective new locations (primarily EMEA, with potential global travel)

About The Team Amazon Cloud Logistics (ACL) is the global logistics organisation within AWS Infrastructure Services responsible for the physical movement, storage, and staging of data centre infrastructure worldwide. We operate a multi-tier warehouse network comprising Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), Manufacturing Fulfilment Centres (MFCs), Data Centre Fulfilment Centres (DCFCs), and Forward Stocking Locations (FSLs) across three regions: NALA, EMEA, and APAC.

Our mission is to deliver the right hardware to the right data centre at the right time — safely, securely, and cost-effectively — at a scale that keeps pace with AWS's rapid global expansion. We manage Warehouse Service Providers, transportation carriers, and brokerage partners to execute millions of units of throughput annually, supporting billions of dollars in infrastructure deployment. ACL partners across Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Data Centre Operations to continuously improve speed, quality, and cost across the network.
