Job description

Job Description
Would you like to use your analytical skills to help protect the integrity of financial markets? Join our Trade Surveillance team and help strengthen Danske Bank’s ability to identify and respond to potential market abuse.

As a Trade Surveillance Specialist, you will perform initial assessments of alerts relating to potential market abuse on your own, including possible market manipulation and insider dealing. You will assess potentially suspicious trading activity, document evidence-based conclusions and share relevant findings with colleagues and stakeholders.

You will become part of a collaborative group of specialists who value financial markets and are committed to protecting market integrity. You will collaborate closely with Nordic colleagues to gather information, support effective case handling and contribute to the continued development of surveillance processes and controls.

At Danske Bank, we support workplace flexibility through our hybrid working model. We currently work at least three days a week in the office, allowing you to benefit from both in-office collaboration and remote work.

“We’re open to people from all different walks of life and cultures to join our team.“

This position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. It does not offer the relocation package.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Review alerts and investigate orders and transactions that may indicate market abuse.
  • Use internal systems, market data and other information to understand trading activity and identify unusual patterns.
  • Make well-reasoned decisions, clearly document your findings and escalate cases when further review is needed.
  • Manage your assigned alerts on time and to a high quality standard.
  • Work with colleagues across Trade and Communications Surveillance and with Nordic stakeholders to gather information and resolve cases.
  • Keep up to date with financial-market developments and emerging market-abuse risks.
  • Follow relevant procedures and regulatory requirements while using sound judgement in complex or unclear situations.
  • Share your ideas and knowledge, contribute to process improvements and support a collaborative team environment.

About You

  • At least two years of relevant experience in financial services, banking operations, compliance, risk, investigations, securities operations or another analytical control environment.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret information and recognise unusual patterns.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Upper-intermediate English-language skills, both written and spoken.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments or market-abuse risks.
  • Experience in securities trading or back-office operations.
  • Higher education in finance, economics, law, business or another relevant field.
  • Experience contributing to process improvements, quality assurance, training or knowledge sharing.

Release your potential with the largest community of Financial Crime Prevention professionals in Lithuania.
