Job description

Job Description
Accurate tax reporting matters to millions of customers across the Nordics. In this role, you will make sure Danske Bank meets its regulatory obligations while helping customers receive fair tax treatment. You will build specialist knowledge, expand your professional network, and contribute to work that genuinely counts.

What You Will Be Doing
You will join a team of 20 professionals working across Finland, Denmark, and Lithuania, united by trust, a sense of ownership, and a collaborative spirit. The team ensures customers in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark are taxed correctly and that Danske Bank complies with national tax reporting requirements, including TRACE reporting, FATCA/CRS, and other reporting activities towards tax authorities. Day-to-day, you will engage with colleagues across the Nordics, Lithuania, and India, as well as external parties such as tax authorities and consultants.

More specifically, you will:

  • Carry out analyses, controls, and adjustments for national tax reporting in Finland and Sweden
  • Coordinate the technical and operational implementation of new tax legislation at sector level
  • Conduct FATCA/CRS due diligence, including collection and processing of self-certifications from customers
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across the organisation and with external parties such as tax authorities
  • Contribute to process improvements and ensure appropriate documentation of procedures and knowledge

About You

  • Experience in tax, preferably with exposure to financial services industry
  • Relevant university degree in tax, finance, law, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of financial products and Nordic regulatory conditions
  • Solid project, process, and stakeholder management skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluent in Finnish and English; Swedish is an advantage

Familiarity with IT systems and architecture, or experience with TRACE reporting frameworks, would be a welcome addition. We are looking for someone comfortable working across multiple countries and regulatory environments.

What We Offer You
This is a role with real breadth: you will develop deep specialist knowledge while building generalist skills and connecting with diverse teams across the bank. You will work in a supportive environment at our Finnish headquarters in Pasila, Helsinki, where we invest in collaboration and knowledge sharing. Our hybrid setup enables one to two remote days per week, providing you the flexibility to work in a way that fits your life. In addition, you will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits.
