Job Description
Site Reliability Engineer | Oracle
Build resilient cloud services. Lead critical deployments. Make a direct impact on customer success.
Join Oracle’s Customer Success Services Commercial Applications team and help deliver secure, reliable cloud applications that customers depend on. This is an opportunity for an experienced, OCI-certified DevOps Engineer to take a hands-on role across deployments, infrastructure maintenance, security, and production support.
You’ll work across multiple Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including Commercial, Dedicated Cloud @ Customer (DRCC), and European Union Sovereign Cloud (EUSC), supporting the full application lifecycle—from pre-production testing and release readiness to production deployments, customer migrations, and incident resolution. Your work will directly influence service availability, release quality, and the customer experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer, with an OCI certification and practical experience managing OCI environments based on Kubernetes (OKE).
- Hands-on expertise in application deployments, Kubernetes (OKE), container image management, operating system patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, Linux systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana & Prometheus.
- A working understanding of certificate management, security remediation, and Web Application Firewall configuration.
- The ability to manage production changes carefully, take ownership of issues, and communicate clearly during releases and incidents.
- A collaborative approach and a drive to improve reliability, automate recurring work, and simplify operations.
Why this opportunity stands out
You’ll combine engineering ownership with visible customer impact. The role offers broad exposure to OCI operations, critical application releases, security, and customer migrations—alongside the challenge of keeping production services dependable across multiple cloud environments.
Bring your OCI expertise and operational mindset to Oracle—and help shape a more reliable experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Drive application releases: Lead pre-production, production, and hotfix deployments in EUSC, coordinating release activities and validating application health.
- Manage container images: Build, deploy, and patch container images to support secure, consistent application delivery.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters: Build, deploy, administer and patch OKE clusters to support secure, consistent application delivery.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure: Perform monthly operating system and infrastructure patching to keep environments current and reliable.
- Support Oracle AI Database:Troubleshoot and support Oracle AI Database environments, applying your database knowledge and hands-on experience to investigate issues, resolve faults, and maintain database availability and performance.
- Validate release readiness: Conduct in-realm QA testing across all release phases in EUSC, helping identify issues before they affect customers.
- Strengthen monitoring: Configure and support Grafana monitoring in EUSC to improve visibility into application and infrastructure health.
- Enable customer migrations: Support migrations from Commercial to EUSC, helping customers transition successfully between environments.
- Maintain security: Manage certificate renewals across EUSC environments, investigate and resolve Security Central tickets, and maintain OCI regional Web Application Firewall rules.
- Resolve production issues: Provide production support across Commercial, EUSC, and DRCC, investigating faults and restoring service.
