We are a hardware team based in Cambridge responsible for developing the DynamicIQ Shared Unit, which is the backbone of Arm CPUs, interfacing between several Arm cores and the rest of the system.
We are looking for the right person to own and improve our software infrastructure, keeping the high quality of our products by ensuring strong CI/CD practices, build and automation flows.
This role focuses on on-premises Linux infrastructure and high-performance compute, rather than public cloud or containerisation.

- Work with engineers across the team to understand and overcome efficiency challenges.
- Strive to continuously improve and promote best practices interacting with the wider Arm IT and DevOps community.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong software development skills in Python (preferred) or another scripting language; ability to design maintainable services/tools (tests, code review, packaging).
- Linux based systems experience, including hands-on troubleshooting performance, storage, filesystem, and process-level issues on long-lived on-prem systems.
- Distributed Version Control Systems and collaboration (git or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well collaboratively in a team, to guide and promote good working practices.
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins or similar).
- Familiarity with other scripting languages (Perl, bash, csh, etc…).
- Code review platforms (Gerrit or similar).
- Containerisation (Docker or similar).
- User experience on LSF and High Performance Computing.
In Return:
We will provide the support and environment to excel in this role. We offer a hybrid approach with remote and office working, and strive to understand each individual's unique circumstances.
