How we work
We love working async, which means you get to build your own schedule. We empower ownership and proactivity, and when in doubt we default to action instead of waiting.
The position
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a GP Lead for Spain, joining our Global Payroll Implementation team. You will be the Spanish payroll subject matter expert for our implementations, taking customers from sales handover through parallel runs and into their first live payroll month.

- Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of Spain global payroll implementations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Lead each implementation from inception through parallel runs and the first month of live payroll, before handing over to Payroll Operations.
- Configure and set up client payroll in A3, including data loading, validation and statutory setup (Social Security, IRPF, salary payment method).
- Keep a record of all decisions taken during the implementation, and give Payroll Operations full visibility, including the SOPs they need for business as usual.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
- Be the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers throughout the implementation, and support them during and after go live.
- Develop and apply standardised payroll processes, project plans and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Support the wider implementation and operations teams.
- Keep a focus on KPIs and SLAs, and continuously improve processes.
- Work with internal teams to improve our platform, from UAT testing through to shipping, and make sure all changes are documented.
Requirements
- Extensive Spanish payroll experience in a client payroll environment.
- Expert knowledge of Spanish payroll legislation.
- Payroll implementation experience.
- Hands on experience with A3 and with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience in accounting and reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes and issues to customers and other stakeholders.
- An analytical mindset and strong problem solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, international environment, and to work largely asynchronously.
- A productivity mindset: you look for ways to improve and speed up your work.
- Spanish fluency and fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience working remotely is not required, but is a plus.
