Job description

About the role

We are looking for a Live Content Producer to join our Live Content team in Madrid. You will help prepare, organise and update content for live sports programmes, working closely with producers and editors to ensure that information is accurate, clearly presented and ready for broadcast. During live events, you will write and update captions, headlines and on-screen graphics in English, responding quickly to developments and changes. This role is suited to someone with some practical experience in television or media, a strong understanding of football and excellent organisational skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and organise editorial content ahead of live programmes, ensuring materials are complete, accurate and ready for broadcast.
  • Help maintain programme rundowns and keep content in the correct running order, coordinating updates with producers and editors.
  • Write, check and update live captions, headlines and on-screen graphics in English.
  • Follow match developments and relevant sports news, identifying information needed for live coverage.
  • Respond quickly to breaking news, changes in programme order and last-minute editorial requests.
  • Coordinate with editorial and production colleagues to keep content aligned with the programme’s requirements and Sporty Group’s editorial standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across names, scores, statistics, grammar and sports terminology.

What you'll bring

  • Some practical experience in television, broadcasting or media, ideally involving content preparation, organisation or editorial coordination. This may include internships, placements or junior roles.
  • Strong knowledge of football, including major leagues, competitions, teams and current news.
  • Excellent written English, with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate text.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing several content elements or changing priorities.
  • The ability to stay focused, communicate clearly and work efficiently during live broadcasts.
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
  • Familiarity with programme rundowns, on-screen graphics or other live production tools.
  • Basic video editing skills, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience creating or editing sports content for digital or social media platforms.

If you're interested, we encourage you to apply! Every application is reviewed by a member of our team (AI is not used in our recruitment process), and we aim to respond within 48 hours.
