Job ID: 6085
Meet the Securities Finance Trading Technology team. Our role is to build and support critical platforms that enable trading, reporting and client services across Nordic capital markets.

About Our Team
Our team is part of the Equities Technology organisation within Markets Technology. We support the Securities Finance business with business-critical trading and financing flows where stability, data quality, integration reliability, and fast issue resolution are essential. We work closely with traders, operations, and technology teams to ensure our platforms are reliable, scalable, and fit for purpose.

Our technology stack includes, but is not limited to: C++, Python, Java, APIs, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bamboo, Geneos, Splunk, Sysdig, Grafana.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to bridge development and operations, improve production stability, release quality, automation, and operational readiness for Securities Finance Trading applications.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the primary liaison between developers, operations, and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth handover of applications, operational readiness, and production supportability throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Lead continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and DevOps practices to drive release automation, stability, and delivery efficiency.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for incidents, driving root cause analysis, problem management, and operational improvements, including resolving trader-facing issues related to trading, financing, and post-trade workflows.
  • Coordinate and support the application infrastructure stack, including environments, databases, platform configurations, integrations, and security vulnerability remediation.
  • Enhance monitoring, observability, alerting and performance management to enable proactive operations and reduce service disruptions, while driving adoption of DevOps and operational excellence practices.

Who You Are
This is the right role for you if you are proactive, structured, and comfortable working between operations and development. You take ownership of technical issues, communicate clearly with stakeholders and look for practical ways to improve stability, automation, and delivery flow.

Your background and skills include:

  • Solid experience administering and supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with application operations, infrastructure, and databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational tooling, including logs, alerting, dashboards, and performance analysis.
  • Experience working with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, release management, and environment support.
  • Strong automation skills, including scripting in PowerShell and/or Python, with a focus on reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.

It would be ideal if you also have experience:

  • With Kubernetes, container-based platforms, Apache Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
  • Within financial services, capital markets or trading technology, including concepts such as orders, trades, executions, allocations, settlement and regulatory reporting.
  • Using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.

What We Offer

We offer a full-time employment agreement with various benefits based on your location, which may include private health and life insurance, learning opportunities, holiday subsidies, bonuses and many more.

We treasure flexibility. That's why we offer a hybrid working model, where you can experience both working from our offices and from home.

You will also benefit from:

  • A challenging role working with data, integrations and modern engineering practices.
  • Opportunities to influence architecture and technology direction.
  • Exposure to complex capital markets processes and business domains.
  • Access to modern development tools and engineering practices, including AI-assisted development.
  • A collaborative and international working environment.
  • Excellent opportunities for learning, development and career growth.
