Crypto Operations Associate - APAC

Your Role:

The  Alpaca Crypto team  is a 100% distributed and remote team.  This role will report directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations.

Things You Get To Do:

• Primary responsibility for the daily monitoring and surveillance of all customer activity
• Primary responsibility for daily operational tasks including trading new accounts and cash management functions; 
  • Cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions (errors corrections etc.)
  • Assist with customer onboarding including KYC and account approval
  • Review of general ledger accounts identify and reconcile account discrepancies
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations that result from suspected suspicious activity  
• Proactively drive impactful changes across workflows policies and tools 
• Clearly communicate with internal and external partners in an effective tactical and insightful manner
• Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned 
• Global remote location core time around 9am to 5pm PT (working hours: 8 hours per day holidays follow the US market holidays) 

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

• Excited about what Alpaca is building!!
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer financial services trading or cryptocurrency operations role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency or strong desire to learn
• Work effectively and supportively within a team environment as well as work independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
• Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities
