Job description
What to Expect
The Account Manager, Corporate is part of the B2B Team in The Netherlands and leads our growth in the SME sector. You open SME accounts that have never bought from Tesla, and you find the right SME customers already in our database and grow them. In both cases you own the path from target list to order.
This role sits at the front of the SME motion. You hunt small and medium-sized enterprises with a fleet of 15 to 50 vehicles or <250 employees. New accounts are the job. A second motion sits next to it: identify SME customers we already know, and turn incremental potential into the next order.
You will report to the Business Sales Lead and work as one team with Retail Sales and local operations. You put Tesla in front of SME buyers. Part of the role is to host knowledge sessions together with the B2B Corporate Lead and Store Supervisors.
What You'll Do
New accounts and first orders
- Build and work a prioritized target list of SME accounts with a fleet of 15 to 50 vehicles and no historical Tesla order.
- Find the right contact (owner, directors, finance, HR-, fleet- or office manager), qualify the opportunity, schedule meetings and host events.
- Run a high-activity outbound motion: calls, emails, LinkedIn, on-site visits and test drives.
- Convert qualified accounts into a Tesla order. You own the deal from first meeting to signed order, and the next order that follows from it.
- Open or formalize a company car policy and position Tesla as the preferred supplier. In this segment the policy is often informal or first-time.
Growth in the current customer base
- Work Tesla's current customer database. Identify the SME accounts that fit: a fleet of 15 to 50, limited Tesla share, or a policy that can take more vehicles.
- Diagnose where the next order sits: replacement cycle, drivers still on ICE/PHEV vehicles, a policy not yet opened to Tesla, or another entity in the group.
- Build the case and close the orders.
Stores and knowledge sessions
- Work as one team with the stores: Retail is where SME demand shows up, and where a lot of it should close.
- Partner with Store Supervisors and Store teams so walk-in, test-drive and inbound SME demand is captured, qualified and converted, not lost between channels.
- Host knowledge sessions for SME customers and prospects, on location or by webinar, in collaboration with the Business Sales Lead and Store Supervisors.
Fiscal expertise
- Be, or become, the subject matter expert on the fiscality an SME buyer uses to choose a company car. Pseudo-eindheffing is the core example. From 2027 an employer pays an extra levy on a non-zero-emission company car that is also used privately. A fully electric car falls outside it.
- Use that expertise to open policies and to create urgency. You advise. You do not replace the customer's tax advisor or accountant.
Pipeline and performance
- Meet new-business KPIs: number of new SME accounts, orders from those accounts, and growth orders from SME accounts identified in the current database.
- Use Tesla's internal tools to log every activity: calls, meetings, test drives, knowledge sessions, contacts and notes.
- Maintain a visible, forecastable pipeline from prospection and database mining through order.
You Must
- Be a hunter. High activity, high urgency, no waiting for inbound.
- Be a self-starter and a team player. The Store is part of your team.
- Take ownership and operate with first principles thinking.
- Love challenging the status quo and work well in high-pressure situations.
- Be strategic and proactive.
- Be comfortable selling to owners and founder-led businesses, not only to procurement.
- Be willing to become the fiscal subject matter expert this market now requires. Pseudo-eindheffing is not optional knowledge.
- Be willing to stand in front of a room, or a webinar, with the Business Sales Lead and a store manager
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven B2B or commercial hunting experience: new accounts and first deals. SME or mid-market experience is a plus.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a high-activity outbound environment.
- Exceptional time management, pipeline discipline and attention to detail.
- Ability to open doors with owners, managing directors, finance and fleet contacts and run a tight qualification-to-close process.
- Strong relationship and communication skills, oral and written, including hosting a customer session.
- Fluency in Dutch & English required.
- Driving license and willingness to travel across The Netherlands.
