Use Euro Top Tech with Claude

Ask Claude, Claude Code or Cursor what tech workers earn, keep and save across Europe, and how many roles are open, from the data behind this site. No account needed.

The connector is a public MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the standard assistants use to call tools). Paste its address into any app that speaks MCP. Nothing to install on this side, no sign-in, and the answers come from the same hourly computation as the data pages and the Compensation Report.

01Connect

Add the connector

Connector address
https://www.eurotoptech.com/api/mcp

Claude on the web, desktop and mobile

Open Customize, then Connectors, and click "Add custom connector". Enter a name and the address above, keep the connection without sign-in, and click "Add". In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors, and turn Euro Top Tech on. Every plan can add it; the Free plan allows one custom connector.

Claude Code

One command in your terminal, then ask in any session. /mcp shows the connection.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http euro-top-tech https://www.eurotoptech.com/api/mcp

Cursor

Add the server to .cursor/mcp.json in a project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project.

mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "euro-top-tech": {
      "url": "https://www.eurotoptech.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}
Any other client
Every MCP client that takes a server address works the same way. The server answers JSON over HTTPS, keeps no session and sets no cookie.

What it answers

get_pay_benchmark

Pay benchmark for a European country or city

Total compensation before and after tax, tax rate, yearly savings, cost of living and livability rank for one European country or city, from reviewed community salary reports in euros per year. Use it when someone asks what tech workers earn, keep or save in a place. Pass a country for pay medians by seniority level.

compare_locations

Compare European locations on pay, tax, savings and livability

Side-by-side pay, tax rate, yearly savings, cost of living and the financial, livability and overall ranks for 2 to 6 European countries or cities, from reviewed community salary reports in euros per year. Use it for "where should I work" and "X versus Y" questions.

get_board_supply

Open roles on the Euro Top Tech job boards

How many open roles the Euro Top Tech job boards list right now, by country and by job category: the Big Tech board (on-site and hybrid roles at top-paying companies across Europe) or the Remote board (fully remote roles at teams that hire from Europe). Returns counts only, never postings. Use it for "how many jobs are there in X" questions.

Try asking

  • What does a senior software engineer take home in Amsterdam after tax, and how much do people there save in a year?
  • Compare Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland for a mid-level engineer: pay, tax, savings and livability.
  • How many backend and data roles are open in Ireland on the Big Tech board right now?
  • Which European countries pay the most at staff level, and which rank highest overall?
Reading the numbers
Amounts are euros per year. Pay figures are means across every seniority level that reported, with per-level medians by country; a place with fewer than 25 reports says so. The method is public on the methodology page.

What already works without the connector

  • Claude in Chrome, or any assistant that drives a browser, can use the site as you would: log in, read the boards, fill the Career Lab tracker, review a CV. Nothing to set up; slower than a tool call, but it reaches everything in a membership.
  • The data pages and the Compensation Report are public pages any assistant can read and cite, with no connector at all.
  • llms.txt lists the public pages for AI systems, in the order that matters.

Member tools

We are deciding whether to let members use the application tracker, the CV tools, job marks, job alerts and a capped job search from their own assistant, signed in with the usual login link. If you would use that, say so. One click, nothing else recorded.

05Rules

What the connector returns, and what it records

  • Public aggregate data only: no job postings, company names or apply links, and nothing from any account.
  • Each call records the tool name, whether it succeeded and the client software, never the question or the answer. No cookie is set and no IP address is stored.
  • Personal use through your own assistant is the one automation the terms allow (section 5): reading the site or using this connector for your own job search. Redistributing what it returns, pooling accounts or feeding the data into another product is not.
  • Requests are rate limited per address. A 429 answer means wait a minute and try again.
  • Questions or something wrong: the feedback button at the bottom right of every page, or the privacy policy for the data practices.
