Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical program management, program management, or a related domain.
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven ability to independently define projects, setup processes and execute within timelines, with multiple stakeholders.
- Being able to work on tasks that are not clearly defined but can help to drive clarity within those initiatives.
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Scope, organize and track execution in ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational programs to ensure a successful and timely delivery.
- Identify process improvements for scale and efficiency; measuring their impact and using said metrics to create visibility and alignment in teams.
- Track progress, unblocking dependencies, identifying, evaluating, mitigating risks and put into motion the solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in execution, objective key results (OKR) planning, and drive accountability to OKR execution.
- Provide clear communication to the teams and executive stakeholders regarding project status, risks/issues, mitigation plans and escalations.
