Job description

What to Expect

Tesla was founded in 2003 with the goal of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy and protecting the planet Earth. Through solar energy, batteries, and electric vehicles, we are building a world of amazing abundance.

At Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, we manufacture the Model Y, and starting in 2027, we’ll produce everything from battery cells to electric vehicles. This is unique in Europe. Our international team consists of over 12,000 employees from 130 countries. We hire talent at all skill levels - prior experience in the automotive industry is not required. Would you like to help write the next chapter in Tesla’s success story and work at one of Germany’s most modern workplaces? Then this is the right place for you!

As Supervisor, Outbound Logistics, you own the on-site flow of finished vehicles at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg after they leave production, through the yard and until they are ready for dispatch. You lead drivers, team leads, yard associates and you keep every movement safe, efficient, and on time. You work with Production, Quality, and Dispatch, own the area’s results, and escalate critical issues in a timely manner.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the team across a 3-shift operation, including staffing, scheduling, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Own on-site vehicle movements and make sure vehicles are ready for dispatch
  • Plan daily workflows against production volume, capacity, and deadlines
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations, and raise critical issues to management with status, impact, and a proposed action
  • Support new flows and volume ramps, and hold improvements in the yard and dispatch processes
  • Delete vehicle damages, resolve flow deviations, and close gaps in flow, on-time dispatch, dwell, and productivity
  • Keep the area safe and drive Lean and 5S, in line with Tesla’s EHS&S policy and EMAS requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Completed vocational training in logistics or a comparable field; Meister, Master Craftsman, or Techniker preferred
  • Several years of logistics experience, ideally in automotive manufacturing, yard, outbound, or distribution
  • Experience leading a team, including disciplinary responsibility, in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong planning and communication skills, and the ability to make sound, independent decisions
  • Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, and workplace safety
  • Confident with IT systems and logistics software, ideally with AI
  • Valid Class B driver’s license and willingness to work a 3-shift system
  • Good German and English, spoken and written
  • Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
