Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in strategic negotiations and business development within the Europe telecommunications infrastructure sector, specifically including areas such as collocation data centers, fiber networks, transport services, and interconnects.
- Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, and presentation development. Experience with data center real estate markets.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and business practices within the telecommunications market.
- Ability to discuss complex agreements with vendors, partners, and suppliers.
- Solid financial skills including network present value calculations, agreement structuring, and return on investment analysis.

As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business. In this role, you will be responsible to navigate complex, high-stakes negotiations with external partners. You will also be responsible to understand the intricacies of network infrastructure which will enable you to collaborate effectively with engineers and technical experts, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key commercial partners including telecommunications companies, network carriers and colocation operators for the purposes of managing our strategies of asset acquisition, deep edge network penetration, and Cloud partnerships.
- Cultivate and grow relationships with vendors and partners to facilitate executing on time, high-quality contracts and orders.
- Negotiate and implement commercial frameworks that allow for predictable, efficient delivery of assets to meet Google's portfolio of products and services.
- Identify, evaluate and acquire metro fiber, long haul dark fibre assets, colocation services.
- Work closely with our planning, tax, policy, legal, and treasury teams, while identifying the most cost effective solutions and optimal commercial frameworks for our needs.
