Job Description
About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we're just getting started.
Why join Bolt?
- Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
- Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
- Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
- Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.
About The Role We're looking for a platform-minded Staff Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution of Bolt's Foundation, the developer, AI, and productivity platforms that thousands of people across Bolt build things on every day.
Our mission is to make time-to-market exceptionally fast, with tooling that's efficient and reliable for every internal builder, technical and non-technical alike.
You'll wear product and engineering hats at once: shaping the Foundation strategy, defining measurable success metrics, and driving execution through clear milestones. Building strong partnerships with cross-domain and cross-functional stakeholders and influencing their decisions will also be central to the role.
This is the founding product management role in Foundation. You'll own how the product process gets built and scaled here, from discovery and requirements through stakeholder input, prioritisation and go-to-market.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Defining the direction for each area you own, in collaboration with engineering leadership, and owning the roadmap, prioritisation, and delivery plans.
- Discovering the problems internal builders face through continuous research and data analysis.
- Designing and executing launch and adoption strategies for new platform capabilities, and validating success by defining and measuring impact.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to drive product development through all stages, from concept to launch.
- Establishing the product process for Foundation and scaling it across its teams.
About You
- You have a proven track record of business impact at scale in a product management role, ideally on large-scale platform, developer, data, or infrastructure products in a global, fast-paced company.
- You have a hands-on engineering background, even if it's a few years behind you. You can reason about architectural trade-offs and hold your own in a design review. A degree in Computer Science, Maths, or a related field is a plus.
- You're AI-native in how you work, not just in what you know: you use AI for everyday tasks, agentic automations, and coding, and you know the developer tooling and AI landscape because you actively work with it, not just read about it.
- You have strong analytical instincts and are comfortable with experimentation and data-driven decisions: you can read a dashboard, spot an anomaly, trace a root cause, and form a hypothesis without waiting for analytics.
- You communicate crisply, building relationships and aligning diverse stakeholders across platform and business organisations, whether in a memo or a meeting.
- You're unsentimental about trade-offs: you start every prioritisation conversation with the "why" and explicit business value, and you're comfortable saying no to senior stakeholders.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
- Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
- Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
- Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
- Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
Some perks may differ depending on your location and role. At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
Everyone is welcome Bolt is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, nationality, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to make reasonable accommodations throughout our hiring process. If you require any adjustments, please let us know.
