Job Description
Description Are you ready to define how Amazon designs and delivers changes to its fulfilment infrastructure
across the globe? Do you want to lead a team that transforms how engineering design, building
automation, and operational changes are executed across four continents?
The International Engineering Core Services Team is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead International
Integrated Design Services (IDS) and International Change Management (ICM) across EU, LATAM,
AMET, and APAC. In this role, you will be a leader of leaders, managing teams of Design Managers,
Module Designers, and Change Management professionals responsible for the end to end delivery of operational design and change execution for Amazon's fulfilment network.
You will define the multi year strategy for how Amazon approaches design standardisation, BIM
automation, modular building configuration, and change management across all international
regions. You will own the operating model that delivers unified customer experience regardless of
region or mile, drive technology adoption through tools like Nucleus (design integration), Laminar
(change tracking), and AI driven automation that collectively target thousands of hours in annual
productivity savings.
You will operate in an environment of significant complexity and ambiguity. You will set the vision
for transitioning from project based design execution to product based configuration through
systematic modularisation, creating pre engineered design packages that reduce repetitive work, accelerate design delivery timelines, and enable global scalability. You will balance the demands of supporting 150+ projects annually across multiple building types, miles, and regions while driving year over year efficiency improvements and cost avoidance targets exceeding $10M annually.
This is a role for someone who is technically credible in engineering design or construction,
strategically ambitious, and culturally agile. You will build partnerships with Operations,
Construction, Network Planning, Technology, RME, and external partners (including AWS clients) to
represent GECS capabilities globally. You will present to senior leadership, influence cross functional stakeholders, and build scalable mechanisms that raise the bar for design quality and change execution across the network.
Would you like an opportunity to shape the future of engineering automation at scale? The role will
be based in Barcelona (BCN10) with approximately 40% of time travelling internationally across
EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
