Solutions Engineer

Who you are

• 2-3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role
• A good technical foundation and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack, and security concepts
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solution approaches
• A customer-centric and commercially driven mindset
• Strong analytical and data-driven thinking, with the ability to rightsize your efforts based on customer and business needs
• Experience with security and compliance topics, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR/DSGVO. Knowledge of BSI IT-Grundschutz or C5 is a plus
• Experience with value engineering and ROI/TCO quantification, or a demonstrated ability to develop these skills
• A clear and structured communication style, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
• Native-level or fluent German and full professional proficiency in English
• Exposure to national and EU-wide public tender processes. Knowledge of relevant public procurement regulations is a plus

• As a Solutions Engineer, you will be part of the Go To Market organization, reporting to a Manager of Solutions Engineering
• You will work primarily with our German sales team dedicated to serving the public sector, NGOs and education
• You will support sales opportunities and drive customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help grow our business
• You will also be the interface between Sales, Product & Engineering, Customer Success, and Data Privacy on technical topics and product-related projects
• Partner with Sales throughout the sales cycle to understand customer needs and support successful deal execution
• Run structured discovery to uncover business, functional, technical, security, and procurement requirements
• Translate customer requirements into practical solution approaches and tailored product demonstrations
• Support technical validation and address customer questions and objections
• Contribute to RFI, RFP, and public tender responses
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Legal, Implementation, and other internal teams to bring the right expertise into customer engagements
• Develop expertise in public sector procurement, buyer dynamics, security, and compliance requirements
• Help articulate customer value through ROI/TCO and value engineering
• Share customer feedback and contribute to reusable demos, assets, and best practices
• Continuously develop your product, technical, and public sector knowledge
• You will support other regions/markets as required
• You will travel to customer sites as needed (10-20% of time)
