Job Description

Role Overview: The Security Platform Services (SPS) aims to empower security teams to increase their efficiency, effectiveness and velocity in order to adapt to changes with the vision of a unified security solution across the organization.

The Solution Engineer - I will be the primary technical counterpart for internal Security teams that require capabilities offered by Security Platform Services. The Solution Engineer will be responsible for empowering Security teams to achieve their goals, while expediting the value realization of our platform offering. The Solution Engineer will do this by:

  • Understanding our users’ needs and how our platform can contribute to their success.
  • Delivering technical solutions to clients' needs using our platform components.
  • Identifying opportunities to extend our platform to meet business critical, high impact use cases.
  • Fostering a community of Security Platform Services users to facilitate long term success.

The ideal Solutions Engineer leverages their imagination, relentless stakeholder service, customer lens, and their tenacity to enable our users to achieve their vision. This position is critical to the company’s security success and is a primary catalyst for achieving our users objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Hold platform demonstrations/presentations and translate requirements into business outcomes while identifying the associated tasks to achieve defined business outcomes.
  • Build up a thorough understanding of the technical systems of our users in order to identify, validate and develop opportunities to accelerate the adoption of our platform to empower teams to achieve their goals.
  • Consult on and deliver custom technical solutions leveraging existing platform components.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to support their onboarding and usage of the platform, including diagnosing errors, troubleshooting unexpected behaviors, and optimizing existing usage of platform components.
  • Contribute to the definition of SPS product solutions for our internal users and work together with product management to build a platform roadmap based on their needs.
  • Define the needs of the user, architect a solution together with the user and development team and lead the realisation efforts.
  • Contribute to documentation describing our product offering and usage.
  • Foster a community of platform users in order to facilitate the awareness, usage, and reach of our platform across wide ranging security department capabilities.

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field experience required.
  • 1 to 3 years experience with solution design. Experience within security or security companies is an advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in (internal) customer facing roles with a proven track record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organisations and interactions with partners.
  • 1 to 3 years scripting experience. Python knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting business cases for technical solutions using qualitative & quantitative data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Past experience writing and publishing technical documentation is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment with competing priorities
  • A self-starter with a proactive attitude, motivated by the end result. Driven by your own performance, yet actively able to contribute to a team.
  • Experience in incident response (automation and orchestration experience is a plus)
  • Willing to face all challenges with enthusiasm, and positivity.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, deal with constraints and can come up with creative solutions.
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written, additional languages are a plus.
  • Results driven – excels in getting things done.
  • Ability to effectively network within a fast growing and changing organization.
  • (optional) Experience working in operational environments. I.e Security Operations.
