Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI / Apps & Innovation

Overview

As a Solution Engineer AI Apps, you will act as a trusted technical advisor helping customers modernize applications, transform business processes, and unlock business value through AI-powered solutions on Microsoft's application platform.

You will lead strategic technical engagements with business and IT stakeholders, identifying opportunities to build intelligent applications, automate workflows, modernize legacy systems, and accelerate software innovation. You will demonstrate how AI can be embedded into business applications to improve employee productivity, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.

You will drive technical wins across Application Modernization, Cloud Native Development, Intelligent Applications, AI Agents, and Business Process Automation. Leveraging technologies such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management, GitHub, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot Studio, you will help customers design and deploy secure, scalable, and responsible AI-powered applications.

Working closely with partners, developers, architects, and account teams, you will support successful project delivery, develop technical strategies, and accelerate adoption of Microsoft's AI and application platform. You will help customers move from traditional applications to intelligent, agentic experiences that combine business data, automation, and generative AI.

You will also gather competitive insights and customer feedback to help shape product evolution and go-to-market strategies, strengthening Microsoft's leadership in AI-powered applications and enabling customers to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Build Strategy

• Partner with customers to define their AI Application strategy, identifying opportunities to modernize business applications and create new AI-powered experiences using Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft's application platform.
• Shape technical win plans and customer success strategies by aligning AI, application modernization, automation, and developer platform capabilities to customer business priorities.
• Develop differentiation strategies by leveraging market, partner, open-source, and competitive insights to position Microsoft as the platform of choice for intelligent applications and agentic solutions.
• Capture customer feedback, adoption blockers, and competitive intelligence to influence Microsoft product roadmaps, engineering priorities, and go-to-market motions.

Education

• Continuously build expertise across Azure AI Foundry, Intelligent Applications, Agentic AI, Cloud Native architectures, GitHub, Power Platform, and Azure development services.
• Share knowledge across technical communities through enablement sessions, hackathons, technical coaching, and mentorship.
• Demonstrate emerging AI and application platform capabilities to internal teams and customers, helping accelerate adoption of innovative Microsoft solutions.
• Maintain a growth mindset by proactively identifying learning opportunities and expanding expertise through customer engagements, partner collaboration, and technical communities.

Leverage Partner Ecosystem

• Collaborate with strategic partners to accelerate customer transformation through AI-powered applications, application modernization, and cloud-native architectures.
• Identify partner capability gaps and provide feedback to partner teams to strengthen technical readiness around Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Application Platform solutions.
• Lead sell-with motions by coordinating partner, Microsoft, and customer teams to deliver successful AI and application modernization outcomes.

Scale Customer Engagements

• Build trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders, helping organizations envision and implement intelligent applications that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Leverage Microsoft technical resources, engineering teams, demo environments, and delivery organizations to accelerate customer success and remove adoption blockers.
• Lead technical engagements across Application Modernization, AI Applications, Agentic AI, Developer Productivity, APIs, and Integration scenarios.
• Establish engagement strategies across virtual teams, partners, and delivery organizations to drive technical wins and accelerate solution adoption.

Solution Design and Proof

• Lead architecture design sessions, technical workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts showcasing how AI can be embedded into modern business applications.
• Design end-to-end intelligent application architectures leveraging Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI Agents, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, GitHub, AKS, App Services, and API Management.
• Guide customers in building secure, scalable, and responsible AI-powered applications using proven Microsoft architecture patterns.
• Apply consultative and challenger-based selling methodologies to connect business challenges with modern application and AI platform capabilities.
• Demonstrate how agentic and generative AI technologies can transform business processes, improve employee productivity, and create new customer experiences.

Qualifications

**Qualifications:**Required/minimum qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR
• Technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

• Technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).

Solution Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across France is € 54,200.00 - € 89,200.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
