Job description

What to Expect

We are looking for a Professional to Senior Software Integrations Engineer to work on the manufacturing and remanufacturing lines in Tilburg. You will be the person who sits between the line and the software teams: you understand what the factory needs next, help the team decide what to build first, and work with developers across factory systems so those features actually land on the line.

This is not a desk-only role. You need to be comfortable in a fast-paced factory: walking the line, talking to operations and engineering stakeholders, and making practical calls when priorities compete. You will also work with developers from MES, WMS, equipment, SCADA, and other factory platforms to agree contracts, data flows, and rollout plans.

Technical support is part of the job, but it is not the primary function. You should be able to take high-level consultations, help diagnose small issues, and point people to the right owners. Day-to-day ownership stays with the feature pipeline, stakeholder alignment, and integration work that moves the lines forward.

What You'll Do

  • Work on the manufacturing and remanufacturing floor in Tilburg and stay close to how the lines actually run.
  • Liaise with operations, process, controls, quality, warehouse, and reman stakeholders to understand which features should come to the line next, and why.
  • Translate those needs into a clear, ranked backlog and help the team prioritize what to build, what to defer, and what not to take on.
  • Partner with developers from different factory systems (MES, WMS, equipment/controls, SCADA, and related services) on integration contracts, data flows, error handling, and rollout sequencing.
  • Own the path from request to line: discovery, scope, technical alignment, validation on the floor, and a controlled go-live.
  • Identify where existing integrations are fragile, duplicated, or blocking the next feature, and drive pragmatic simplification.
  • Support high-level consultations and small issues when they affect the lines: reproduce, trace, advise, or hand off. This is a supporting duty, not the core of the role.
  • Keep stakeholders aligned on status, risks, and trade-offs so the team is not pulled in conflicting directions.
  • Document decisions, interfaces, and expected behavior so knowledge is shared and the next change is easier to land.
  • Improve reliability where it matters for the next feature: logging, validation steps, runbooks, and feedback from the floor back into the backlog.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years (professional) to 5+ years (senior) as a hands-on software or systems integrations engineer, ideally in manufacturing, remanufacturing, or another production environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced factory: on the floor, under time pressure, and with incomplete information.
  • Proven ability to liaise with non-engineering stakeholders, turn feature requests into a ranked plan, and help a team decide what to do next.
  • Experience working with developers across multiple factory or operational systems, not only within a single codebase.
  • Ability to read, debug, and discuss integrations across services, APIs, data flows, and SQL; strong enough technically to hold your own with MES/WMS/equipment/software teams.
  • Strong diagnostic skills for distributed and shop-floor connected systems, including intermittent failures.
  • Excellent English, written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once and stay effective when the line’s needs change during the day.
  • Direct experience with manufacturing or remanufacturing lines, MES, WMS, SCADA, equipment interfaces, or shop-floor data pipelines.
  • Experience with messaging, event-driven integrations, idempotency, and integration testing across heterogeneous systems.
  • Familiarity with C#, Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages used in Tesla factory software.
  • Exposure to observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and CI/CD for integrated services.
Experience supporting production software end-to-end when needed: intake, reproduce, mitigate, verify, handoff.
