Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with full stack development.
- Familiarity with AI tooling or willingness to learn and use them.
- Ability to work on individual as well as team projects.
- Ability to learn new technologies, and to adapt to different project types.
- Excellent communication skills.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Germany: €86000 - €88000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and tested code, incorporating feedback from team members.
- Use existing tools and processes to solve familiar problems, escalating complex challenges when needed.
- Contribute to design discussions, providing input on technical solutions.
- Achieve AI fluency and use AI to improve productivity.
- Implement tactical sub-tasks within larger projects related to the lifetime of a Google Account, under the guidance of senior engineers.
