Software Engineer II - Android (For temp workers)

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer to help develop and maintain modern Android features used at scale.

You should be comfortable joining an existing project, understanding complex architectures quickly, and delivering production-ready features with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using modern Android technologies.
• Deliver features throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Break down technical work into manageable implementation tasks.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, QA, and product teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable Kotlin code.
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Improve application performance, stability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Be familiar with backend-driven UI solutions

Must Have

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Coroutines and Flow.
• Strong understanding of Android Architecture Components.
• Experience writing Unit and UI tests.
• Experience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience debugging production applications.
• Ability to quickly become productive in an existing codebase.
• Strong ownership and delivery mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with observability platforms (Grafana, Datadog, Firebase, etc.).
• Performance optimization experience.
• Familiarity with backend technologies.
• Experience building applications used by millions of users.
