Software Development Manager, Payroll Tech

We're building a greenfield near real-time payroll platform — replacing decades of legacy infrastructure to process pay end-to-end for over a million employees across 60+ countries. Your job will be to lead a world-class software development team in Barcelona — driving the design and delivery of core platform components from architecture through production, and developing the team that ships them.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in engineering team management
• Experience in engineering
• Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
