Senior Software Engineer - AV Components

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will work on state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle technologies in AI / deep learning, computer vision, mapping, prediction, and vehicle control. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and integrating components of AV stack. In this role, you will be working with cross-functional teams within NVIDIA as well as OEM partners locally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, optimize components of NVIDIA's AV stack and integrate on OEM platforms, taking features from prototype to production performance.
• Evaluate and tune feature performance across OEM carlines, platforms, regions, ODDs, and sensor configurations, ensuring that KPIs reflect real-world performance.
• Triage complex feature issues, identify root causes using simulation, replay tools, vehicle logs, and on-vehicle diagnostics and drive end-to-end resolution in collaboration with customer engineering teams.
• Develop AI-assisted tools for large-scale replay, KPI evaluation, issue classification, root-cause analysis, and regression detection

 

What We Need To See:

• BS/MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong C/C++ and QNX/Linux skills, including modern C++, data structures, debugging, software design, and performance optimization in real-time embedded/control systems
• Deep expertise in one or more components of AV stack — Perception, Mapping, Planning & Control
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across global teams and more importantly with OEM partners
• A proactive, self-driven, owner mindset.
• Travel within EU and internationally for vehicle testing and OEM collaboration as needed

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

• Experience delivering one or more components of production grade AV stack: Perception, Fusion, Mapping, Planning & Control
• Hands-on deep learning experience — model training, evaluation, and optimisation under production-grade deployment constraints.
• Advanced control theory — classical, nonlinear, MPC, or optimal control — applied to real vehicle behavior.
• Certified test driver experience in Europe
