Job Description

Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a dynamic Senior ProServe Account Executive (PAE) to join our Media & Entertainment practice. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging new and existing customers in the media, entertainment, broadcasting, and content creation sectors in transformative projects involving Data and AI Strategy, Migrations, and Modernisation. You'll work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth. As ProServe’s customer facing relationship owner you’ll be primarily focused on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and securing customer signoff of SOW’s. Following project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure we are delivering the agreed customer business outcomes (CBO) as outlined in the SOW.

Your experience in selling services within the technology/consulting sector, will equip you with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers. You will demonstrate proficiency in business development, executing sales methodologies and managing CRM systems coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. PAEs performance will be measured against key metrics including but not limited to Revenue, Billable Bookings, and customer satisfaction (CSAT).

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key job responsibilities

Business Development & Customer Engagement

  • Lead business development efforts by identifying, qualifying, and engaging Media & Entertainment customers in high-value professional services engagements
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned to AWS ProServe offerings across content supply chain, direct-to-consumer streaming, broadcast modernisation, and cloud-native media workloads
  • Develop deep, trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders at multiple levels, including C-suite executives at media companies, broadcasters, and content platforms
  • Proactively identify customer challenges in areas such as content delivery, media asset management, audience engagement, and advertising technology, mapping them to AWS ProServe solutions

Proposal & SOW Management

  • Create compelling proposals that articulate the value of AWS Professional Services in addressing Media & Entertainment customer needs
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Engagement Managers, and Practice teams to scope and price engagements
  • Secure customer sign-off on Statements of Work (SOWs) and manage contract negotiations
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene within CRM systems

Project Delivery & CBO Monitoring

  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure delivery of agreed Customer Business Outcomes (CBOs) and maximise revenue potential
  • Advocate for customers while balancing AWS business objectives
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing engagements and drive follow-on work
  • Manage customer escalations and partner with delivery teams to resolve issues promptly

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with AWS Account teams and the M&E industry team to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts
  • Partner with AWS Partner Network (APN) organisations to extend reach and delivery capacity
  • Work with ProServe Practice leaders and M&E specialists to align offerings with customer demand
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable solutions and best practices specific to Media & Entertainment

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with end-customer sales in the cloud or software industry and a successful track record with consulting or technology partners through account management, program management, and business development
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
  • Experience working with transformative technologies including cloud, IoT, business intelligence, and analytics
  • Experience selling into the Media & Entertainment industry, including broadcasters, streaming platforms, content creators, or advertising technology companies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships
  • Financial acumen with the ability to analyse and report on key performance metrics
  • Technical proficiency to understand and articulate AWS media services (e.g., MediaLive, MediaPackage, Elemental, CloudFront) and broader AWS solutions
  • Understanding of industry trends including OTT/streaming, content supply chain modernisation, cloud-based broadcast workflows, and AI/ML-driven media applications
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a bias for action
  • Excellent storytelling and active listening abilities
