Senior Manager, Communications - Benelux

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Communications to lead our work in the Netherlands and Belgium. Based in Amsterdam — Netflix's European headquarters — this person will own the full communications strategy for Benelux and sit on the Benelux Country Leadership Team, serving as a trusted advisor to local leadership across all disciplines. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative campaigner, and skilled relationship builder who operates with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the end-to-end communications strategy for the Netherlands and Belgium, working closely with content, marketing, policy, legal, and business teams.
• Identify compelling story angles and secure high-impact coverage across Dutch and Belgian business, consumer, and trade media.
• Draft communications plans, announcements, briefing materials, and messaging documents that are clear, sharp, and on-brand.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers across the Benelux market.
• As a member of the Benelux Country Leadership Team, act as the communications voice in local strategy and decision-making.
• Make smart, well-reasoned decisions — including in ambiguous, fast-moving situations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or public affairs.
• Deep knowledge of the Dutch and Belgian media landscapes, with established relationships with key journalists and editors.
• Excellent judgment and a strong editorial instinct — you know a good story and know how to tell it.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch; French is a plus.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build trust with senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive with autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
