Senior Fullstack Engineer

Who you are

• You are experienced with modern JavaScript development, testing, and debugging
• You have experience building and scaling backend services using Java and/or Python
• You have worked in cloud-native environments such as Google Cloud Platform or similar platforms
• You have experience designing and maintaining libraries, frameworks, or developer tools used by other engineers
• You have hands-on experience working with scalable databases such as PostgreSQL
• You approach engineering problems with strong analytical thinking and practical solutions
• You communicate clearly and collaborate well with cross-functional teams
• Experience working in e-commerce, financial systems, or high-volume transaction environments is a plus

What the job involves

• As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll work on systems that process large volumes of transactions and support the global purchase experience
• Your work will help evolve the platform that powers Spotify’s commerce ecosystem, ensuring our payment infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and innovative as we grow
• Architect and implement scalable backend services and frontend components that power Spotify’s commerce platform
• Design and develop critical capabilities in Java and Python services operating in a high-volume, low-latency environment
• Build and maintain the pay-in functionality that enables payment processing across Spotify products
• Run and analyze experiments to improve payment performance and user experience
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful commerce features
• Contribute to evolving Spotify’s payment infrastructure and SDK capabilities for developers across the company
