Job Description

About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About The Role You will work on the pricing engine that optimises both customer prices and courier earnings to improve overall marketplace efficiency. This includes building automated exploration pipelines, estimating price elasticities, and solving optimisation problems. You'll apply predictive modelling and causal inference to measure the impact of pricing changes and guide strategy. Your work will directly influence marketplace balance, growth, and user experience

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Pricing Analysts, Product Managers, Data Engineers and Software Engineers, to gain a deep understanding of business needs and create end-to-end technical solutions for them.
  • Deploying and validating solutions for millions of users, enabling fast feedback and measurable added value to customers.
  • Rapidly deploying models to production environments using AWS and internal machine learning platforms, leveraging a toolkit that includes Python, Spark, Presto, SageMaker, and Airflow for efficient data processing and model deployment.
  • Engaging in regular knowledge exchange with Data Scientists across all seniority levels, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes learning and innovation.
  • Tackling diverse, real-world challenges across the pricing domain.
  • Applying advanced data science and econometric techniques such as causal inference, optimization, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, multi-armed bandits, Bayesian experimental design and more.

About You

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, including a minimum of 2 years focused specifically on pricing-related challenges.
  • You have good expertise in econometrics, experimentation design and causal inference.
  • You have hands-on experience in building ML systems from end to end, including testing, monitoring, scaling, and measuring the impact.
  • You’re skilled in Python programming, leveraging key libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn for data analysis and modelling, with practical experience in statistical hypothesis testing that allows you to independently identify problems, explore trends, and discover opportunities through data-driven methods.
  • You have a proactive mindset, a willingness to take initiative and work with little supervision, and enthusiasm for collaborating with different roles in product, analytics, and engineering to uncover insights, test hypotheses, and inform strategic decisions.
  • You exhibit excellent teamwork and strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling clear collaboration and knowledge-sharing.Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with complex experimentation and causal inference
  • Product development experience in a technology company
  • Familiarity with any cloud systems (AWS, Azure, Google app engine)
