About ClickHouse

Recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list, ClickHouse is one of the most innovative and fast-growing private cloud companies.

With more than 4,000 customers and ARR that has grown over 250 percent year over year, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads.

The company’s sustained accelerating momentum was recently validated by a $400M Series D financing round.

Over the past three months, customers including Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, Polymarket, and Airwallex have adopted the platform or expanded existing deployments.

These customers join an established base of AI innovators and global brands such as Meta, Cursor, Sony, and Tesla.

We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data.

Come be a part of our journey!

We are currently expanding our Support Services team at ClickHouse, which delivers exceptional service to our customers worldwide.

We are seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to join our global team, where you’ll provide consultative support to our ClickHouse enterprise customers.

The role uniquely blends hands-on engineering, development assistance, and high-tier support, performing functions across Consultative Support, Engineering, and Support.

You will work directly with a set of strategic customers, providing guidance, case answers, and technical oversight.

Consulting Engineers will also assist with support cases for customers in our Support L1 to L3 tiers, particularly when not assigned to larger projects.

Responsibilities:

Project Engineering & Consulting (50%): Serve as a team member on customer projects focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation. This includes research, benchmarking, performance and functional testing, reference architectures, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling.

Consultative Support (50%): Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, assisting with implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks.

Work as a member of the Support Team, handling L1 to L3 cases and communications when not actively assigned to customer projects.

Partner closely with ClickHouse Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to contribute to the product roadmap and account plans.

Develop and assist with a wide range of content, including public and internal documentation, knowledge base articles, ClickHouse learning resources, reference architecture, blogs, and benchmark results.

Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as we grow and scale.

Be available for scheduling and on-call needs to deliver high-quality 24x7 support in a global, distributed environment, including up to 35% estimated onsite regional travel.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.

5+ years of relevant industry experience in implementing, operating, and supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed database management systems ("DBMS").

Technical breadth and depth in relevant subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems, software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.

Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.

Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g., EC2).

Bonus points:

Experience with ClickHouse.

Experience with OSS and open-source technologies as a user community member or contributor.

Experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS.

Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ, or others.

You’ll love this role if:

You have excellent communication skills and thrive in a customer-facing role, collaborating closely with Support, Services, Engineering, and Sales teams.

You are self-driven, curious, and eager to continuously learn and grow.

You possess a mindset of teamwork, global engagement, empathy, and a drive for solving challenging problems.

You have a sense of adventure and urgency in building the most scalable, highest performing, largest, and fastest databases in the world.
