Job Description
About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we’re just getting started.
Why join Bolt?
- Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
- Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
- Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you’ll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
- Join one of Europe’s leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.
About The Role Bolt Food’s Stores vertical covers everything outside of restaurants: grocery, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, beauty, electronics, and more. We are a fast-growing business within a global platform, moving at startup speed with the backing of one of Europe’s largest mobility and delivery companies.
As Sales Manager, you will focus on acquiring top Store chains nationally. This is a role suited to a sales professional who excels in strategic negotiations and possesses a strong understanding of retail industry dynamics. You will build relationships with multiple stakeholders within target organisations and utilise solution selling to build internal consensus. Beyond direct sales, you will play an active role in shaping sales strategies and processes.
Stores is a focused, high-ownership team tackling some of the most exciting commercial challenges in quick commerce across Europe and Africa. If you thrive in environments where the problems are new, the pace is fast, and the impact of your work is immediately visible, this is the team for you!
Please note that this is a full-time permanent employment opportunity. The annual gross salary for this role ranges from €26,000 to €32,000 and will depend on your skills, knowledge, and experience.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Outbound Sales: Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end for outbound leads, from prospecting and initial outreach to conducting negotiations and closing deals with large grocery and retail chains.
- Solution Selling: Utilise sophisticated selling techniques such as Challenger, SPIN, and SNAP to identify unmet needs and build compelling cases for partnership.
- Planning: Prepare and execute a business development plan for each lead, with a clear schedule and roadmap for outreach, meetings, and progression to close.
- Proposals & Negotiation: Develop compelling proposals for C-suite stakeholders and negotiate complex deal terms on high-value, multi-location contracts.
- Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process from signed contract through to stores going live, ensuring operational readiness and a smooth transition to active trading.
- Target Achievement: Own your pipeline and results, consistently delivering against acquisition and revenue targets.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in key account management, enterprise sales, business consulting, or other commercial roles in grocery, retail, FMCG, e-commerce, marketplaces, or delivery.
- Proven track record of owning and growing large, complex, multi-stakeholder accounts, ideally national or international chains, with direct responsibility for revenue or P&L outcomes.
- Experience building and executing JBPs, running senior-level business reviews, and negotiating commercial terms.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret business data, build business cases, and make data-driven recommendations to both internal and partner stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain long-term professional partnerships through excellent listening, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity, prioritise across competing demands, and translate strategy into structured execution.
- Fluency in English and Slovak with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
