What’s the role?
The Resilience and Continuity (R&C) team is responsible for the design and delivery of Bloomberg's Business Continuity Management (BCM) program which supports the Firm’s ability to continue operating effectively in the event of business disruptions. The team is part of the Bloomberg Security Operations department that oversees physical security, safety, enterprise resilience and business continuity.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with business areas across Bloomberg and will operate as a part of a global team of business continuity experts working to ensure Bloomberg is prepared and ready to manage business disruptions effectively. As a Resilience and Continuity Technology Lead, you will primarily focus on engagement with the Firm’s Engineering department – providing expertise on business continuity and operational resilience priorities in relation to technology operations and the Firm’s Disaster Recovery program.
We’ll trust you to:

Drive the Global BCM program’s engagement with the Firm’s Engineering department – collaborating with technical leaders to align DR strategies with BC Planning.

Provide insights and advice on BC/DR technical solutions to support Engineering colleagues in maintaining resilience and continuity of operations.

Lead on the identification, adoption, and implementation of industry best practice from across business continuity and operational resilience topics

Lead on the BC program's development and execution of BC testing and exercising efforts with technical stakeholders

Support in the development and regular review of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and recovery strategy documentation.

Collaborate consistently with SMEs in Engineering, the Chief Risk Office, Legal and Compliance, Operational Resilience, and other domains to build familiarity on enterprise-wide strategic objectives and resilience requirements.

Collaborate with various internal support and operations teams to identify and assess threats and risks that have the potential to escalate to operational impacting incidents.
You'll need to have:
-
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and/or operational risk.

Experience in working across business continuity and disaster recovery domains with a strong technical understanding.

Experience in coordinating and delivering testing and exercising for business continuity, disaster recovery and/or operational resilience purposes in technical domains.

Prior work experience in a global organization implementing standards, policies and procedures.

Knowledge and experience of Operational Resilience regulations globally

Highly developed relationship management and partnership skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Strong project management, problem solving, and facilitation skills.

Proven track record of leading projects involving cross-functional teams.
