Airbnb was born with a creative spirit, and it’s one of the most defining parts of our culture. We use our curiosity and imagination to come up with unconventional solutions. These are the ideas at the core of Airbnb:
- Our community is based on connection and belonging.

- It takes a unified team committed to our core values to embody these ideas, and our fast-moving team is committed to leading as a 21st century company.

The Community you will join:
Our Membership team is focused on developing and scaling new growth levers for Airbnb. As a business team we work at the intersection of product, marketing, and other supply and guest teams to design, test, and launch programs that drive meaningful value for both guests and hosts. We collaborate closely with product, marketing, data science, finance, and cross-functional teams globally to bring new ideas to life and scale what works.
The difference you will make:
As a Programs and Business Operations Lead, you will work with the Senior Programs and Business Operations Lead to grow the success of Airbnb. You are someone who thrives in ambiguous, early-stage environments and brings equal parts strategic thinking and operational rigor. You will support the levers that make programs successful, build the tools and frameworks that enable teams to move faster, and partner deeply with product and marketing to ensure programs are designed for both user value and business impact.
You are a self-starter who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and helping turn new ideas into working programs. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, take initiative on the tasks in front of you, and are eager to learn what works in a new and evolving space. You pair that curiosity with strong analytical skills and clear communication, partnering with teammates across product, marketing, and operations. Your attention to detail, organization, and ability to juggle multiple priorities will help you succeed.
You’re passionate about understanding the needs of the Airbnb community and helping identify ways to support their success on the platform. You will build strong working relationships with partners across the team and contribute insights that help the community grow within the Airbnb marketplace.
This role requires deep experience in operations, supply, marketplace dynamics, and data analytics, as well as the capacity to work crossfunctionally to remove obstacles and execute initiatives.
A typical day:
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and recurring business reviews that track program performance, using SQL, Excel/Sheets, and Tableau
- Deliver accurate, timely analyses that answer specific business questions and surface insights and recommendations to the team
- Support on-the-ground and digital production of key assets and events, from planning and logistics through day-of execution
- Support the design and analysis of experiments and pilots, including sizing opportunities, tracking results, and summarizing learnings
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with product, marketing, data science, finance, and operations—tracking timelines, owners, and open issues so launches stay on schedule
- Help translate program goals into clear requirements, process documentation, and operational playbooks
- Prepare clear materials (decks, one-pagers, updates) that communicate program status and performance to stakeholders
- Identify process gaps and build simple tools or templates that help the team work more efficiently
Your expertise:
- 8-10 years of experience in business operations, strategy, analytics, consulting, or program management; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL; experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with excellent organization and attention to detail
- Experience supporting event or content production (in-person and/or digital), including coordinating vendors, timelines, and logistics; comfortable working with marketing and creative partners to deliver high-quality assets
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data and recommendations to stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, or data science teams
- Nice to have: exposure to marketplace dynamics, loyalty, membership, incentive, or merchandising programs; experience working across multiple geographies
- Occasional travel to an Airbnb office or team offsites, as agreed with your manager
- Proactive, curious, and coachable, with a can-do attitude, comfort with ambiguity, and a strong appetite for working with the Airbnb community
