Job Description

About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About The Role You will be the operational backbone of Bolt's Business to Government (B2G) rides, responsible for dispatching and coordinating trips under our public tenders. Working closely alongside your peers and with the Operations Manager, you will make sure the right vehicle is assigned to the right trip, at the right time, and that every journey is a smooth and reliable experience for our governmental clients (“färdtjänst, skolskjuts, sjukresor” and similar) and for our drivers. As the spider in the web linking clients, drivers and vehicles, your work has a direct impact on service quality, contractual compliance and the growth of our B2G business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and coordinate rides for our B2G tenders in real time, planning and assigning trips (färdtjänst, skolskjuts, sjukresor and similar) across the fleet to meet demand, service windows and contractual requirements.
  • Handle acute changes and disruptions calmly and decisively — reassigning trips, re-routing and re-prioritising resources during peak periods, delays, cancellations and no-shows to keep the operation running smoothly.
  • Deliver a smooth experience for our governmental clients and passengers, safeguarding punctuality, safety and service quality, and handling questions, feedback and complaints professionally and in line with the agreement. Be the day-to-day point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions, support and quick problem-solving so they can complete trips safely and on time.
  • Administer and follow up on transport orders and bookings, ensuring trips are documented and executed according to the applicable contracts, routines and quality standards. Track and analyse dispatch performance data to identify trends, solve recurring problems and improve key metrics such as on-time performance, trip fulfilment, vehicle utilisation and client and driver satisfaction.
  • Critically review internal ways of working, continuously improve manual processes through automation and process improvements, and collect feedback on missing features and offers. Ensure close collaboration with Product to continuously automate and improve dispatching effectiveness.

About You

  • Experience in dispatch, traffic control or transport planning (trafikledare/planerare), ideally within färdtjänst, skolskjuts, sjukresor, taxi or public transport, is a strong merit.
  • Strong multitasking ability — able to prioritise between several tasks at once and make quick, sound decisions under time pressure.
  • A challenger that wants to automate and improve manual processes — Bolt does not work old-school and wants to be the best in dispatching, both with our Product and our Service.
  • Solution-oriented, responsible and service-minded, with strong communication skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Calm, flexible and decisive — thrives in a dynamic environment where the pace is sometimes high and no two days are the same.
  • Comfortable working with dispatch/planning systems and data; experience with dispatch or booking platforms (e.g. planning systems used in färdtjänst/taxi) is a plus.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role. At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!

Everyone is welcome Bolt is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, nationality, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to make reasonable accommodations throughout our hiring process. If you require any adjustments, please let us know.
