Job description

Junior SAP BRIM Consultant

Zalando’s ERP team is looking for a Bucharest-based Junior SAP BRIM Consultant to support the execution of our B2B and B2C strategy by learning, developing, and scaling core business processes using the SAP BRIM modules Convergent Invoicing and Contract Accounting.

You will join a diverse and international team of 15 ERP consultants spread across the Bucharest and Berlin offices, managing Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Document Compliance-driven processes across three on-premise SAP S/4HANA systems and associated integrations. Our work environment is fast-paced, utilizing modern SAP technologies (S/4HANA 2023 FPS02, BTP, BDC) while adhering to Clean Core and Best Practice principles, supporting further future transitioning of our IT Landscape.

This is an
entry-level consulting role
designed to set you up for long-term growth. You will be paired locally with an experienced Senior Consultant based in Bucharest for direct on-site mentorship, while working closely day-to-day with the rest of our team in Berlin as well as business stakeholders across several other Zalando sites.

It is an ideal step if you want to transition from the business side (e.g., are currently working as a SAP key user with a focus on AR/AP or an accountant/ accounting clerk doing daily activities in SAP) into ERP consulting, or if you have industry exposure to Utilities or Telecom (e.g., through SAP IS-U) and want to specialize in SAP BRIM. Teamwork, structured mentorship, and cross-border knowledge sharing are central to our culture.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Operational & Incident Support: Help investigate and resolve functional issues and support requests, working alongside senior consultants and engineers.
  • Process & Project Support: Assist in the implementation of process improvements and sub-projects, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand user needs.
  • Documentation & Testing: Help maintain accurate functional documentation, process flows, and test cases for system enhancements.
  • System Analysis: Learn to analyze system behavior and underlying financial data flows to help identify recurring process bottlenecks or configuration gaps.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions, cross-training on SAP BRIM modules and its integration with other modules, and build your technical expertise within a collaborative environment.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Relevant Business or Industry Background: You have hands-on experience in SAP systems as an accountant, accounting clerk, or business key user working with financial processes, preferably Accounts Receivable or Payable OR prior exposure to high-volume billing/accounting environments such as Utilities or Telecom (e.g., using SAP IS-U).
  • SAP Familiarity: Prior hands-on experience with SAP FI-CA or SAP Convergent Invoicing (FI-CA-INV) is a plus, but not required—a solid understanding of financial/O2C fundamentals and an eagerness to learn SAP BRIM is what matters most.
  • Tech-Savvy & Analytical: You are comfortable working with systems and numbers, have a structured approach to problem-solving, and are eager to learn modern SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, BTP).
  • Strong Communication: You can clearly explain business or system steps to both technical teammates and business users.
  • Adaptable & Collaborative: You thrive in an international team, value feedback, and embody curiosity and continuous learning.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English skills (written and spoken) to work effectively in our international environment.

OUR OFFER

  • Experience the autonomy, agility and risk-taking spirit of a newly founded location, backed by the experience, financial stability and massive operational structure of the leading European technology platform for fashion and lifestyle.
  • Work on a scale where your daily technical choices, architecture decisions and code deployment directly shape the experience of over 62 million active users across Europe.
  • Our open and collaborative tech radar is a shared platform that inspires our teams to pick the best technologies for new projects, reflect on technical decisions and continuously evolve our software development landscape.
  • Drive your development through our training platform and biannual peer-to-peer review.
  • As we build our new office in Bucharest, we are committed to providing a competitive benefits package tailored to local market practices. Please ask your Talent Acquisition Partner to learn more about what we plan to offer at the start:
  • 22 days of holiday a year, increasing up to 25 days depending on your tenure (every 3 years)
  • Private medical coverage with options to add your family
  • Daily meal allowance of 30 RON per working day
  • Subsidy of public transport ticket
  • Office-first working model (at least 3 days a week)
