Job Description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About The Team And The Role At Tise, Customer Success is about more than answering questions – we work to build a safe, trusted and seamless experience for our users. Within Customer Success, our Safety & Trust team is responsible for handling some of the most important and sophisticated situations on our marketplace, from fraud and scams to account abuse and other safety concerns.

As a Fraud & Risk Agent , you will play a hands-on role in keeping Tise safe. You will handle customer inquiries, investigate suspicious activity, and evaluate cases based on the information available and our policies and processes. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues in Safety & Trust and collaborate with other teams when cases require broader action.

You don’t need to be a fraud expert from day one. We’re looking for someone who enjoys investigating, solving problems and making sound decisions – and who wants to build their proficiency in fraud, risk and marketplace safety.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Help keep Tise safe by investigating and resolving cases related to fraud, scams, misuse of accounts, and other Safety & Trust concerns.
  • Make well-founded decisions by assessing relevant user, account, listing, transaction and behavioural information.
  • Provide clear and helpful support to customers, including in sensitive or complex situations.
  • Identify suspicious activity, recurring patterns and emerging threats, and ensure important findings are shared and brought up when needed.
  • Contribute to consistent and efficient case handling by detailing decisions and working in line with Tise’s policies and processes.
  • Build your expertise in fraud, risk and marketplace safety while collaborating with colleagues across Customer Success and other relevant teams.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgement and attention to detail, with an investigative mindset and curiosity for understanding patterns and behaviour.
  • The ability to assess different sources of information and make decisions, including when situations are not straightforward.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers.
  • The ability to work independently while enjoying close collaboration and knowledge-sharing with others.
  • Relevant experience from customer support, case management, fraud, scams, payments, Trust & Safety, marketplace operations or similar work is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • You may be a recent graduate with relevant part-time or student experience, or have a few years of relevant professional experience – we value your skills, motivation and potential over a specific career path.
