Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 (contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Role Summary

This is an entry-level logistics and inventory support role within a data center environment. The technician is responsible for tracking equipment, receiving and shipping deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are staged correctly for operational teams. The role is ideal for candidates with warehouse, inventory, retail stockroom, logistics, or supply chain support experience who are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and following documented processes.

Additional Details:

• Location: Dublin 22, Dublin, Ireland
• Contract End Date: 1/06/2027
• Shift Timings: Monday – Friday (business hours between 7AM and 7PM)
• Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate non-traditional work schedules, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Pay Range: €25 - €28/hr (PAYE)
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process inbound deliveries and shipments
• Document incoming and outgoing packages accurately
• Perform inventory tracking and updates in inventory systems
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
• Correct inventory discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy
• Stage and organize equipment for deployment or movement
• Support rack and asset movement activities
• Escalate issues during high-volume operations
• Follow established logistics procedures and seek guidance when needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

Required Experience

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

• Minimum 6 months of experience OR internship in:

  • Warehouse operations
  • Inventory management
  • Retail stock management
  • Logistics support
  • Supply chain operations

Required Technical Skills

• Basic Microsoft Office skills:

  • Outlook
  • Excel
  • Word

• Data entry experience

• Inventory tracking experience

• Ability to follow documented processes

Required Soft Skills
