Job Description
The GenAI Innovation & Foundation tribe sits at the heart of generative AI development across Danske Bank, building the agent platform that teams rely on every day. As Chapter Lead, you will keep one foot in the code and one foot in your team's growth, helping Lithuania-based engineers develop while shipping production-grade software. This is a genuine opportunity to shape both the technical direction and the people behind it.

You will join a tribe working on an AWS and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore platform that helps developers build reliable AI agents without rebuilding the same foundations repeatedly. The team spans platform and adoption squads, and the culture is open, collaborative, and technically serious. Roughly 70% of your time is spent designing, coding, reviewing, and operating software; the remaining 30% goes to chapter leadership. You will work closely with the Cloud Chapter Cluster Lead and fellow Chapter Leads on technical direction across locations.

You
will
:

• Build and operate production-grade AI and agentic software using Python, AWS and AgentCore
• Lead engineers based in Lithuania through regular one-to-ones, development goals, coaching and feedback
• Raise coding standards, testing practices and production observability using Grafana, Prometheus and Elasticsearch
• Share knowledge between platform and use-case squads so good ideas travel across teams
• Support hiring and contribute to consistent engineering practices across squads
• Bring a strong software engineering background, preferably with Python, plus practical AWS cloud experience
• Apply sound judgement on software quality, security, observability and production ownership
• Coach engineers, including senior engineers, and collaborate effectively while giving direction without controlling every technical decision; experience with agentic systems or AI-assisted development workflows is an advantage
