Job Description

Description This position can be based out of either London or Luxembourg.

The Retail Supply Chain Initiatives (RSI) team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, creative, and fast-paced environment where ambiguity is the norm and analytical thinking drives impact.

In this role, you will develop, enhance, automate, and manage analytical models that power decision-making across EU supply chain operations.

  • Design and maintain data pipelines, models, and dashboards that serve multiple stakeholders across the organization
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Use data to constructively challenge assumptions and inform better decisions
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate, building sustainable long-term solutions

What We're Looking For

  • Solid foundation in data mining, modelling, and quantitative analysis
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets (professional or academic)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills — able to tell the story behind the data
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and a willingness to ask questions to define problems
  • A collaborative mindset with curiosity and eagerness to learn from experienced team members

This role is based in Amazon's EU offices in London or Luxembourg

Key job responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data models supporting EU supply chain analytics
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions for retail stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on supply chain metrics, surfacing root causes and actionable recommendations
  • Automate recurring reporting and data quality checks to reduce manual effort
  • Partner with senior BIEs and product managers to translate business questions into analytical solutions
  • Document data sources and methodology to enable self-service for business users
  • Help shape the future of our analytics practice — contributing to the team's transition toward AI-powered, conversational data experiences that are replacing traditional dashboards

About The Team The Retail Supply Chain Initiatives (RSI) team's vision is to evolve EU Retail inbound into the most cost-efficient and selling partner-friendly integrated supply chain.

The BI team within RSI provides the analytical backbone for this mission — delivering timely, actionable insights across dashboards, financial reporting, and data products that serve 4,000+ users across the EU stores organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
  • Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
