Job Description
Description Are you ready to be part of Amazon's most ambitious delivery expansion in Europe?
We're scaling our Nexus same-day delivery network from across the EU and we need the right people to help us run it successfully. As the EU Nexus network grows, protecting customer promise around the clock becomes critical. That's where you come in.
As EU Speed Initiative Manager in Central Operations, you will own the operational improvements across the entire Nexus network. You will lead the team to identify and resolve operational exceptions before they impact customers, and act as the single point of accountability for the EU Nexus network for new initiatives. You will manage and launch new initiatives and improve current operations and work closely with site operators and cross-functional stakeholders to protect LOC and DEA performance.
We're looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, can make confident decisions with incomplete information, and take ownership of outcomes — not just processes. You'll be part of a team that is building the operational backbone for Amazon's next-generation delivery network, with direct visibility across EU markets every single shift.
Key job responsibilities
Business Reviews & Performance Management
- Lead and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly business reviews across the EU Nexus network, driving accountability and action on key performance metrics
- Design and implement business review mechanisms that enable data-driven decision making and rapid issue resolution
- Deep dive on performance trends, identify root causes of defects, and drive corrective action plans across the network
- Create and maintain performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into operational health
Process Design & Standard Work
- Define and document standard operating procedures for shift handovers, ensuring seamless continuity of operations across time zones and shifts
- Develop scalable standard work that enables consistent execution across multiple stores and markets
- Create playbooks and operational guides for common scenarios, exceptions, and escalations
- Design and implement quality control mechanisms to ensure adherence to standard work
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Build and optimize communication mechanisms between Central Operations, stores, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams
- Establish clear escalation paths and communication protocols for operational issues
- Facilitate information flow across shifts, ensuring critical context is preserved during handovers
- Partner with operations teams, delivery partners, and stakeholders to align on priorities and resolve systemic issues
- Act as an escalation point for complex operational challenges requiring cross-functional coordination
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Use data to inform operational decisions, capacity planning, and resource allocation
- Maintain and report up-to-date and accurate statistics, management reports, and analysis
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and operational teams
A day in the life
You will balance leading business reviews with designing operational improvements and supporting new initatives. Your day may include facilitating a network-wide DBR, deep diving on delivery performance trends, partnering with site operators on process gaps, and analyzing data to inform capacity decisions. You will continuously evaluate opportunities to improve delivery speed, quality, and cost while contributing to the long-term strategy of EU speed operations.

The role will provide opportunities to think big, develop original ideas, and partner with AMZL Planning, Transportation, Last Mile Tech, Operations and business expansion teams to develop a strategic approach to scale Central Operations.
