Crowdsourced Data

Every country and city is scored 0-100 by an equal-weight composite of two crowdsourced pillars. Higher is better. The weights are fixed and identical for every row.

Livability = 100 × mean( norm(happiness) , norm(tax_infra) )

norm(x) = (x − min) / (max − min)     # min & max taken across all ranked
                                      # countries (or cities), per pillar

The two pillars (½ weight each)

• Happiness: self-reported life satisfaction of tech workers living there.
• Tax & infrastructure: self-reported satisfaction with the tax system and public infrastructure.

• Each pillar is min-max normalized across the ranked set, so a score is relative to the other places shown, not an absolute index.
• Rows backed by fewer than 25 submissions show their submission count in amber: read them as indicative, not definitive.
