Job Description

Description Interested in shaping the future of movies and television as an integral part of a world-leading global communications team? Amazon MGM Studios brings together the world's best creators with the most passionate communities in a way no other entertainment brand can. We deliver distinctive, critically acclaimed and award-winning original movies like Project Hail Mary, The Sheep Detectives, American Fiction, The Beekeeper, and Challengers.

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Theatrical PR Specialist to manage day-to-day EMEA publicity operations for our theatrical slate across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

This role will work closely with senior UK/EMEA PR leadership and the US home office to ensure that all in-market Theatrical PR Managers and distribution partners across EMEA territories receive the assets, directives, updates, and strategic guidance needed to execute best-in-class campaigns. You will be responsible for driving campaign alignment across territories, ensuring deliverables are met to the high-quality bar set by Amazon MGM Studios, and serving as the central coordination point between the home office and EMEA markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational instincts, experience working across international markets, and a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining strategic clarity and executional excellence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive day-to-day EMEA theatrical PR operations, ensuring all territories have the assets, information, timelines, and strategic direction needed to execute campaigns effectively
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between US office teams and EMEA in-market Theatrical PR Managers and sub distributor partners, managing the flow of campaign materials, updates, and directives
  • Work closely with senior UK/EMEA leadership to translate global campaign strategy into clear, actionable guidance for local markets
  • Ensure all EMEA territories are aligned on campaign timelines, junket coordination, press day logistics, premiere strategies, and priority milestones
  • Monitor and QC campaign execution across EMEA markets, ensuring all activity meets the standards and brand expectations set by Amazon MGM Studios
  • Advise in-market teams and sub distributor partners on asset needs, media opportunities, talent availability, and campaign priorities
  • Coordinate talent tour logistics across EMEA territories in partnership with US office, ensuring press days, junkets, and appearances are optimized for maximum regional impact
  • Manage the distribution of press materials, campaign assets, screening links, EPK content, and approved messaging to all EMEA markets
  • Track deliverables and campaign milestones across territories, flagging risks or gaps to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with in-market PR teams, EMEA journalists and agency partners
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign status, media coverage, and market-specific dynamics across EMEA to senior leadership
  • Support EMEA premiere events, press activations, and festival strategy as directed by senior leadership
  • Manage day-to-day EMEA publicity budgets, tracking spend across territories and ensuring efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, social, digital, and distribution to ensure integrated execution across the region
  • Identify and communicate market-specific opportunities, cultural nuances, and competitive insights that inform campaign strategy
  • Provide guidance and operational support to team members and agency reps across territories

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in professional communications or public relations
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Proven track record of executing theatrical publicity campaigns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in crisis management and planning
  • Experience at a major studio, entertainment company, or leading PR agency with international scope
  • Working knowledge of media landscapes and cultural dynamics across key EMEA markets
  • Experience managing or coordinating with sub distributor partners on publicity campaigns
  • Understanding of the evolving international media landscape, including digital, social, and influencer ecosystems
  • Experience working across theatrical and streaming windows
  • Genuine love of film and pop culture
  • Understanding of box office metrics and the theatrical marketplace across EMEA territories
  • Proficiency in one or more European, Middle Eastern, or African languages is a plus
  • Relationships with media, talent representatives, festival programmers, and industry stakeholders across EMEA markets
