About The Role Fixed-term: 1.5 years. Parental leave cover.

This role covers parental leave and has no guaranteed extension, though this may be revisited depending on business needs.

As a Technical Support Engineer at Bolt, you'll act as a bridge between Customer Support, Operations, and central Engineering and Product teams. You'll own your domains, manage your workload independently, and play a key role in resolving, escalating, or deflecting technical issues, improving user experience and saving engineering time in the process.

Your primary domains will be Bolt Business (supporting B2B clients through commercial partners) and Incentives (supporting campaign operations across multiple verticals).

Note: this role does not involve direct communication with external clients or end-users. All communication is handled through internal teams, sales, and account managers.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve tickets efficiently within agreed SLAs in our Technical Support Service Desk.
  • Monitor engineering releases to stay ahead of product changes in your domains.
  • Maintain team support channels and ensure consistent coverage.
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence. Track tasks and projects across Jira and Slack.
  • Participate in manual QA — identifying, reproducing, and escalating production bugs.
  • Keep ticket responses and internal communication accurate, clear, and high-quality.

About You

  • You communicate clearly, professionally, and diplomatically — even when stakeholders are demanding.
  • You're curious and pick up new domains and tools quickly without waiting to be directed.
  • You're thorough and structured — you double-check your work and think before you act.
  • You're comfortable owning your responsibilities independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in technical support, operations, or QA/testing & comfort reading logs, API responses, or basic SQL to investigate issues.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Slack is a plus.
