From games on TV to mobile and web, Next Games is a Netflix first-party studio that develops approachable games to entertain a diverse, global audience.

We design games that Netflix members can enjoy every day as part of their subscription. Our games released on Netflix to date include TV games Boggle Party, Pictionary Game Night, Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, and Underwatermelon, as well as Netflix Puzzled, available on mobile devices and on tudum.com.

The Role

As a Senior UX Designer, you will help create high-quality games that are playable, enjoyable, and accessible to a broad audience. In this role, you will work closely with your team daily and develop and execute a strategic UX vision for each of our games, demonstrating a deep understanding of our audience and their needs as players.

You will maintain consistent relationships with players and provide valuable insights to the team, enabling a player-centric approach to improving game features and iterations. Your excellent communication skills and strong sense of teamwork make you a supportive collaborator. You are passionate about accessibility, with experience in advocating for best practices and championing inclusive design.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team through all steps of the UX process to holistically improve the game experience.
• Design accessible, usable, and enjoyable UX for a broad, casual audience, defining game communication, structure, and content strategy.
• Apply scientific methods and Design Thinking to UX research, testing, and feature development, ensuring data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX researchers, UI artists, designers, artists, leads, stakeholders) to enhance processes and game quality.
• Advocate for players through direct community engagement and sharing insights to inform design.

Skills And Abilities

• Proven experience designing for both web and app platforms, taking features from concept through implementation.
• Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design, including running accessibility tests and leading workshops.
• Strong foundation in scientific UX research methods, including hypothesis testing, experimental design, and data analysis.
• Ability to design game architecture, flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes (Figma).
• Experience with leveraging artificial intelligence in design practice.
• Experience with user research tools (e.g., PlaytestCloud).
• Excellent visual design, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to player-centric, collaborative, and iterative development.
• Skilled in creating and maintaining thorough documentation and advancing UX maturity within the team.
