THE TEAM The Pro team is responsible for everything to do with the trading backend services such as the matching engine market data gateways internal and external APIs and various other trading services.
The team is located globally and responsibilities are split into sub-teams working with various tech stacks.
Our teams code in TS (React) and work agile around the globe.
Recently the team played a critical role in scaling Kraken's trading infrastructure. https://blog.kraken.com/post/17936/performance-at-kraken/ THE OPPORTUNITY - Design develop and maintain high-quality applications using React - Set the standard for high-quality code and lead complex software systems development - Significantly influence technical decisions contribute to technical strategy discussions and shape product/domain decisions with an expert understanding of engineering best practices - Mentor junior and senior engineers and provide constructive feedback - Master multiple technologies and stay ahead of the curve with new tools and trends - Design and implement scalable maintainable and fault-tolerant systems with a deep understanding of complex software development architecture and design patterns - Lead and collaborate on complex initiatives and drive feedback and growth across teams - Drive process improvements and lead by example with advanced experience in multiple software development processes WHAT YOU BRING - 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on web applications - Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React ecosystem - Strong experience of API design security and performance optimization - Experience with Next.js and WebSockets - Experience with frontend testing frameworks - Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling - Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles - Experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup - Hands-on experience in consumer payments crypto or fintech mobile applications - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
