Senior Software Engineer, Flume ML

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with coding and software design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience designing and implementing Machine Learning (ML) architectures.
• Experience with data structures and algorithms.

Flume ML - Building data-processing infrastructure across Alphabet that is scalable, low cost, easy to use, ecosystem-enabling, and compliant.

You will join a team in Warsaw focused on managing global data processing infrastructure products. This infrastructure solution serves as the foundation of Alphabet, powering machine learning features related to YouTube or Search, as well as next-generation AI initiatives. In this role, you will help guide the direction of this product.

Your focus will be to advance the scheduleability and autotuning optimizations of the data processing infrastructure. These optimizations support machine learning pipelines and standard data processing workloads. You will bridge the gap between infrastructure and the products that rely on it.
