Description RAD Process Assistant in Oberkrämer bei Berlin

Amazon (OpsTech Solution Supply Chain - OTS SC) has an immediate opening as RAD (Rapid Asset Deployment) Process Assistant to support our new building within the RAD program. The OTS SC organization manages and is responsible for a wide variety of hardware testing and deployment, new device launches and project initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT.

As RAD Process Assistant you are responsible for either administrative Ops support - resolving tool related blockers and prepare virtual environment to ensure smooth item flow in operations. Or independent operational support on the shopfloor owning one or more process path according to daily set up Dock, Receive, Pick/Pack, Provision.

The role also incorporates safety related aspects as ensuring a neat and clean working environment and the absence of uncalculated safety risks as well as waste management compliance in RDE1.

Key job responsibilities

Besides Others, Your Core Responsibilities Will Be The Following

  • Support and work independently in the department as required
  • Helping support daily management of department duties, including all labor allocation, leading stand-up meetings, assigning job duties and communicating with internal and external partners
  • Providing vacation coverage for Area Managers
  • Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
  • Tracking and reporting labor hours and adjusting labor moves
  • Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
  • Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
  • Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
  • Filling in as needed with production duties
  • Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
  • Reviewing and updating SOP as required
  • Assisting in keeping work area clean and organized, submitting necessary safety audits
  • Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
  • Coaching associates to work safely at all times
  • Participating in safety initiatives
  • Reporting all job injuries immediately to area manager

About The Team The RAD team provides IT hardware to a broad variety of internal customers like AMZL, VF or FCs.

We receive, repair, provision/image and ship IT equipment from a handheld scanner, to any kind of peripherals and laptops. And also build and prepare IT site infrastructure to support new building launches.

We are one of these crucial teams in the background supporting our operations in delivering to the customer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal in German and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Amazon Operations, Central Flow, or other related supply chain teams
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
