We’re looking for a seasoned Principal Specialist Sales Engineer to join our team.

This is a fully remote role based in Germany reporting to the Solutions Specialist Director within the Global Speciality Sales Organisation.

As a member of the Core GTM Team the Principal Specialist Sales Engineer's role is to be the lead technical team member when it comes to Data Security in their Area/Region.

Working with their Account Executive team they will work closely with the Core Sales team in order to showcase product value and work with the Product and Engineering teams to drive innovation.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • BSCS or equivalent with extensive experience as an SE or systems integrator

  • More than 7 years of experience in Pre-Sales roles with at least 3 years of experience in selling security / networking solutions in value based direct sales or high-touch sales environments

  • Hands-on expertise in Data Protection and web related technologies

  • Must be proficient at working in a matrix environment working with the larger GTM team to promote sell and support the Data Security Business line

  • Fluency in German

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working with Zscaler (or competitive solutions) in the Data Protection Market

  • Understanding of SaaS based technologies and regulatory compliance for the Geo

  • Experience working in a matrix environment teaming with a larger GTM and Partner Ecosystem

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and determined by role and level.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for this position across all Germany locations.

Individual pay placement within this range is determined based on objective gender-neutral criteria including job-related skills relevant experience and education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) and benefits.

Base Pay Range
€110.250€157.500 EUR
