Job Description

About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About The Role As Operations Specialist, you'll own the commercial growth engine of our German business: finding, building and scaling the partnerships, programs and pilots that make Bolt the obvious choice for riders. You'll spot opportunities most people miss, whether that's an airport partnership, a loyalty perk that changes retention, or a demand deal that unlocks a new customer segment, and turn them into initiatives with measurable impact on our marketplace. You'll bring operational ownership and analytical rigor to the role, reviewing metrics, forecasting and reporting on what's working, and drive growth through Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Loyalty Programs, airports and venues, and cross-functional product launches that improve the rider experience.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with airports, venues and other external partners that grow demand and improve the rider experience.
  • Build and scale Bolt's loyalty and membership offering (e.g. Bolt Plus) in Germany, spotting new ways to grow value for riders and revenue for Bolt.
  • Build the commercial case for new partnerships and initiatives, then negotiate the terms and manage the relationship after launch.
  • Design, run and analyze pilots to test new offers, partnerships or product features before scaling them market-wide.
  • Work closely with Product, Growth and Marketing to launch initiatives that move the needle on demand and rider satisfaction.
  • Run rider research and UX testing to validate assumptions, refine offers and confirm what you build actually solves a rider problem.
  • Track and report on the performance of your partnerships and initiatives, using data to double down on what works and drop what doesn't.
  • Represent Bolt at industry events, conferences and partner meetings, building the external network that feeds your pipeline of opportunities.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, commercial strategy or operations, ideally including negotiating and managing external partnerships.
  • Fluent in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication. You can hold your own in a partner negotiation and a stakeholder update alike.
  • Highly analytical with a data-driven mindset and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. You back your ideas with numbers, not just conviction.
  • Comfortable negotiating commercial agreements and building relationships with external partners, from first meeting to signed deal.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset. You spot opportunities others miss and aren't afraid to build the business case, pitch it and own it end to end.
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across Product, Growth, Marketing and Operations.
  • Low-ego and collaborative. You put Bolt's interests first and don't need the credit to do great work.
  • Energized by face-to-face meetings, networking events and industry conferences. You build your own pipeline of opportunities.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role. At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!

Everyone is welcome Bolt is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, nationality, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to make reasonable accommodations throughout our hiring process. If you require any adjustments, please let us know.
